Ravne is a small settlement in the hills above the right bank of the river Sava to the northwest of Gabrovka in the Litija municipality in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on the Ostrež hill to the south of the settlement, is dedicated to Saint Catherine and belongs to the Polšnik parish. It is a 16th century building that was restyled in the Baroque in the 18th century.[3]
